A major goal of WP4 (“Domain Abstractions”) is to reduce the semantic gap between the requirements produced by WP1 (“Reference Scenario) and the methodological and technological instruments produced by WP2 (“Communication Infrastructure”) and WP3 (“Mobile Grid”). The achievement of this goal implies, first, to analyse data flows and transformations that produce useful information; second, to identify domain-oriented abstractions that are significant both for the user and for system management activities; third, to recognize how advanced technologies can enable cost-effective services.
